A historical landmark back in the late 30s, the Miramar Theater opened to the public in 1938. San Clemente’s North Beach became a hotspot for locals and travelers prompting the bowling alley to open a few years later. The Miramar closed its doors in 1990. However, recent entitlements have been approved, ensuring the revival of the Theater is now a reality.
In addition to the theater and/or event center, an open concept dining experience will be available just minutes from the beach. The refurbishment of the Theater will feature capacity for approximately 435 attendees, an outdoor courtyard, and space to mingle or dance. In addition, the highly anticipated reopening of the project will consist of opportunities for both large and small restaurants that will be featured in the existing bowling alley to provide a new coastal dining experience. A large outdoor patio will provide plenty of dining space, or an area for friends and family to enjoy.
The Miramar Theater development will proudly serve as a fabulous destination space for our current San Clemente residents and visitors, near and far. With new development along the North Beach/Pico Corridor, this project will catapult the growth and bring back the charm of the nostalgic North Beach community.
